Brother Demands Justice After Sister’s Fatal Dispute with Boyfriend in Rivers
A man from Eneka, Obio/Akpor LGA in Rivers State is calling for urgent action after his sister, Caroline Igbiri, died during a dispute with her boyfriend, Richard Nangibo, on Saturday, July 11. Police have arrested Nangibo over allegations that he assaulted Caroline after accusing her of infidelity. Witnesses say she fell and hit her head on a sharp edge during the fight and succumbed to her injuries. In a social media post on July 15, Caroline’s brother accused the suspect of being an internet fraudster who exploited his sister for ritual purposes. He also claims the suspect’s family is attempting to sway the investigation with money and is urging FIDA, the Nigeria Police Force and other stakeholders to intervene. He has named the suspect’s elder brother, Richman Nangibo, as part of the attempt to influence the case and is appealing for a fair trial.
