Super Eagles Defender Ryan Alebiosu Opens Up on Two-Year Knee Injury Battle
Super Eagles defender Ryan Alebiosu has spoken about the unexplained knee condition that kept him out of football for almost two years as a teenager. The Blackburn Rovers right-back said pain in both knees left him unable to run or walk properly when he was about 15. Doctors described it as non-specific knee pain and could not determine whether surgery would be needed. Alebiosu said the uncertainty was difficult as he watched his peers progress in football. He eventually recovered, worked through several clubs and academies, and has since earned his first Nigeria cap.
