Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle Hands First Call-Ups to 13 Players
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has reportedly invited 13 players for the first time as he widens Nigeria’s options ahead of upcoming international fixtures. The players are drawn from clubs in Europe and the Middle East, with options added across goalkeeping, defence, midfield and attack. Some are expected to be assessed in the friendly against Russia, while others could feature in the 2027 AFCON qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. The new faces will compete for places alongside established players including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon. The call-ups could give supporters an early look at the next generation of Super Eagles talent.
