Veteran Yoruba Actor Adeshina Okiki Janmole Dies in Tragic Car Crash
The Yoruba film industry is mourning the loss of veteran actor Adeshina Okiki Janmole, who died in a fatal car accident. Fellow actor Akin Olaiya shared footage from the crash site and paid tribute, while Mr Latin offered prayers for his soul and strength for the family. This heartbreaking news adds to a string of recent losses in Nollywood. Last year, comedian Sanku Comedy died in a car accident on the Oyo–Ogbomoso road. In April, actor-producer Solomon Akiyesi passed away in his sleep in Abuja, and gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu also lost her life suddenly. Earlier this year, reports emerged of actor Alex Ekubo’s death after a cancer battle, and evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu’s passing following a long illness was confirmed in January. The industry continues to grieve these irreplaceable talents.
