Plateau Warns Residents Against Unregistered Food, Drugs and Cosmetics
The Plateau State Government has warned residents against buying unregistered, substandard or unsafe food, water, medicines, cosmetics and other regulated products. It said residents can visit the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency’s information and verification centre to confirm whether products are registered with NAFDAC. The government urged buyers to remain vigilant and report suspicious products to the appropriate authorities. Producers, distributors and sellers of unsafe or unregistered products risk sanctions under relevant regulations.
