Ebonyi Assembly Praises Feedmill Project Set to Boost Food Security and Youth Employment

Ebonyi Assembly Praises Feedmill Project Set to Boost Food Security and Youth Employment — 1 of 3
1 / 3

The Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture and Food Production, led by Chairman Hon Onyebuchi Ogbadu, conducted an unscheduled oversight visit to the ongoing Feedmill Factory site. They inspected the facility’s basement, staff quarters and administrative block. Hon Ogbadu commended Anglozortic Nigeria Limited for maintaining high standards. He said the project reflects Governor Nwifuru’s commitment to repositioning agriculture in the state. He added that once completed, the factory will enhance mass food production, reduce feed imports and create direct and indirect jobs for Ebonyi’s youth. The contractor was urged to sustain the current pace and deliver on time without compromising quality. Representatives from the Assembly and the project director confirmed that key milestones—underground basement, warehouse slabbing, staff quarters roofing and administrative block decking—have been achieved. The factory is expected to lower feed costs and strengthen the state’s food security.

Local farmers should form cooperatives to supply the feedmill with maize and soy in bulk, ensuring steady input and shared profits.
