Adeleke Denies Electoral Deal With ADC After Osun Governorship Victory

Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke has denied the African Democratic Congress’s claim that it helped secure his re-election victory. In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Adeleke said there was no electoral agreement or partnership with the ADC before, during or after the governorship election. He said the party was not part of the alliance that mobilised support for his campaign. INEC declared Adeleke winner after he polled 511,067 votes, ahead of APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who received 444,815 votes. The governor credited the victory to God, Osun residents and his political partners.
