The American finished 0.12 seconds ahead of Saint Lucia’s Olympic champion Julien Alfred, who took silver in 10.74s. Sha’Carri Richardson claimed bronze in 10.76s. The victory settled the recent rivalry between Jefferson-Wooden and Alfred after their split results in Silesia and Zurich. Jefferson-Wooden’s time was just 0.01 seconds outside her personal best and earned her the championship’s $150,000 top prize.
