Ejiofor Returns $19,000 Mistaken Payment on Nnamdi Kanu’s Instruction

IPOB’s Head of Finance, Madam Nnennaya Anya, recently claimed that $19,000 was paid to Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor for defending Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. She even released a Chase Bank statement as proof. Ejiofor insists the transfer was a banking error. He says Kanu contacted him immediately and directed him to return the full amount to its rightful beneficiary. He complied on the same day the funds landed in his account. To clear the air, Ejiofor will publish the transfer receipts and correspondence on Monday. He maintains he never charged or received any fee for representing Kanu and accuses those spreading the allegation of peddling misinformation.
