Kebbi ADC Aspirants Deny Working Against Malami Over Primary Dispute

Kebbi ADC Aspirants Deny Working Against Malami Over Primary Dispute

Three aggrieved ADC aspirants in Kebbi State have denied claims that they are being sponsored to undermine the party’s governorship candidate, Abubakar Chika Malami. Abubakar Sadiq Sa’adu Fakai, Muhammad Umar and Nafiu Bello Shuwa said they are challenging what they describe as their unlawful replacement after the party primaries. They insist their court action is aimed at recovering their alleged mandates, not weakening the ADC or its candidate. The aspirants also alleged that documents were forged to suggest they voluntarily withdrew their candidatures. These allegations have not been independently established and remain subject to legal proceedings. The dispute could affect the ADC’s cohesion in Kebbi as parties prepare for the 2027 elections.
