Jorge Jesus Rates Victor Osimhen and Erling Haaland Among the Best Box Forwards

Portugal coach Jorge Jesus has praised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, placing him alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as one of the most formidable forwards in the penalty area. Speaking before Portugal’s UEFA Nations League win over Norway, Jesus said Haaland is highly powerful and technical in the box, but added that Osimhen belongs in the same class because of his strength, pace and finishing. Jesus previously tried to sign Osimhen while managing Al Hilal. The Nigerian striker instead remained in European football and later completed a permanent move to Galatasaray after an initial loan spell.
