Ondo Approves New ASUU Salary Structure for State Universities
The Ondo State Government has approved the domestication of the Federal Government-ASUU agreement on the Consolidated University Academic Salary Structure for academic staff in its state-owned universities. The decision followed meetings between the state government and unions including ASUU, SSANU, NAAT and NASU. The unions are currently on an indefinite strike over unpaid allowances and other welfare concerns. The agreement covers salary adjustments, allowances and related welfare issues. The state said implementation would reflect its specific circumstances and expressed hope that the move would restore industrial harmony in the affected institutions.
