Nigeria’s Pain and the Cost of Silence
Nigeria is gripped by escalating violence. Bandits and kidnappers roam freely, even livestreaming their ransoms on TikTok. The nation bleeds while ordinary citizens live in fear. At the same time, fuel, food, gas, and transport costs soar. Families struggle for basic essentials. Many have been forced from their homes, becoming refugees within their own country. Government officials insist all is well. Key agencies like the EFCC and ICPC appear to target political opponents more than the criminals causing real suffering. Influential public figures have fallen silent after receiving political appointments. Nigeria deserves leaders who protect its people, secure communities, and speak truth to power. Our future depends on safety, accountability, and the courage to stand with the people.
