Perseverance: Keep Faith When the Journey Gets Hard
Giving up often begins when answers seem delayed, the journey becomes difficult or other people appear to be moving ahead. Perseverance means continuing to trust God and do what is right despite discouragement, disappointment and weariness. Scripture teaches that there is a due season for those who do not lose heart. Abraham waited in faith, Job endured suffering, and Jesus completed His mission despite the pain of the cross. Delay does not mean that God has abandoned His promise. Take the next step, avoid comparing your journey with others, and remain faithful in prayer, service, forgiveness and obedience. When strength feels small, seek Christ’s grace and keep your eyes on the finish line. Today, choose not to stop halfway. Keep trusting God, keep doing good and believe that your faithfulness will bear fruit in due season.
