DSS Rescues Four Remaining Zamfara Polytechnic Students Without Ransom
Operatives of the Department of State Services in Zamfara State have freed the last four students abducted from their off-campus hostel at the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda. Armed bandits stormed the hostel on June 3 and seized six students, two of whom secured their release earlier this month. Relying on precise intelligence, DSS agents carried out a Wednesday operation that secured the safe return of four male and one female student without paying any ransom. One suspected kidnapper was arrested on the scene, while the other assailants were neutralised during the rescue. Families and community members have expressed relief at the students’ safe recovery. The DSS continues to intensify efforts against banditry across the state.
