Isaiah 6:8 asks a simple but challenging question: who is willing to be sent? History records that Kublai Khan reportedly showed interest in Christianity after meeting Niccolo and Matteo Polo in 1271. He asked for teachers of the faith to be sent to his empire, but the response came decades later and in very small numbers. The story is presented as a reminder that opportunities to share the Christian message should not be ignored. It challenges believers to respond through prayer, giving and, where called, personal service. Pray for more workers, support gospel outreach, and be willing to say, “Here am I. Send me.”
