Why Do Some Churches Ignore Indecent Dressing and Phone Use During Services?
I have attended a church in Abuja about three times, and I have noticed that some members dress in ways I consider inappropriate for worship. Some outfits expose the chest or back, while others are very short. A few people even use a cloth to cover themselves when they stand to pray. I am also concerned that many members stay on their phones while the sermon is going on. The ushers do not seem to caution anyone about it. The church is popular, with branches in Nigeria and abroad, and the pastor preaches well on many issues. I have raised the concern with an usher before, but nothing has changed. Why do some churches avoid addressing dressing standards and conduct during services?
