Lagos Begins 35-Day Repairs on Lekki-Epe Expressway, Motorists Face Diversions
Lagos State will begin a 35-day rehabilitation of damaged sections of the Eti-Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway, covering Bonny Camp to Admiralty Way Junction and areas around Victoria Garden City. Motorists should expect temporary diversions and possible delays. The state says traffic officials will be deployed to manage congestion, while alternative routes are expected to remain accessible during the works. The road serves major residential and business areas, as well as the Lekki Free Zone, Dangote Refinery, Lekki Deep Sea Port and several educational institutions. Residents and stakeholders have also urged the government to address drainage and flooding concerns along the corridor. The repairs come ahead of the festive season, when traffic on the Lekki axis typically increases. Timely completion and effective traffic management will be crucial for daily commuters and businesses.
