Meta Launches Muse Code, an AI Agent for Large Software Projects

Meta has launched Muse Code, an AI coding agent designed to help developers work across large and complex software projects. The tool runs in the terminal and can plan changes, write code, review its output and handle parts of the development workflow. Muse Code is powered by Meta's Muse Spark model. For larger tasks, it can split work among separate sub-agents running in isolated workspaces, helping to protect a developer's existing files while tasks are completed in parallel. Meta is entering an increasingly competitive AI coding-assistant market, where tools such as Claude Code and Codex are already attracting developers.
