Osun Lawyers Urge Adeleke to Repair Deteriorating Courts
Nigerian Bar Association branch chairpersons in Osun State have asked Governor Ademola Adeleke to urgently repair and modernise court buildings across the state. In a letter dated October 29, 2026, they said poor facilities were disrupting proceedings and making it harder for people to access justice. The lawyers cited leaking roofs, damaged ceilings and inadequate seating in courts in Osogbo, Ikirun, Ilesa, Ile-Ife, Iwo and Ede. They said rainwater had interrupted hearings and caused avoidable delays. Their concerns include the High Court, Customary Court of Appeal, Magistrates’ Courts and District Customary Courts. They called for an audit of court facilities, urgent repairs, better equipment and regular maintenance funding.
