Is Sunday Church Building Our Faith or Just Feeding a Routine?
Every Sunday, millions of Christians prepare for church. But if Sunday disappeared from the calendar, would our relationship with God remain the same? This is not an argument against gathering with other believers. Early Christians met on the first day of the week in connection with Christ’s resurrection, while Sabbath observance also continued among some Jewish Christians. Sunday worship has a deep historical and theological background. Still, attending church is not the same as spiritual growth. A person can be present every Sunday yet struggle to forgive, show kindness, use money responsibly or help people in need. The real question may not be whether we worship on Saturday or Sunday. It is whether our faith changes how we live after the service ends. How should we measure the impact of church in our daily lives?
