Majid Michel Says Comparing Ghallywood With Nollywood Is Unfair

Ghanaian actor Majid Michel says comparing Ghallywood with Nollywood is unfair because Nigeria’s much larger population gives it a wider pool of actors, filmmakers and audiences. Speaking in a radio interview in Accra, he said Nigeria’s population advantage makes it logical for Nollywood to produce more creatives across different areas of the industry. Majid added that Ghana should not measure its film industry against Nigeria or more established countries without considering the differences in population, systems and development.
