Etsako East Chairman Denies Hotel Swearing-In Claim, Cites Ongoing Projects
Etsako East Local Government Chairman Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson has denied a viral claim that he swore in councillors at a hotel in Benin City. He said the video being circulated was taken out of context and that he only met the councillors while carrying out his duties as Edo State ALGON chairman. Ekpeson said he delegated the inauguration of the council secretary and 10 ward councillors to Vice Chairman Charles Aloaye Dagana. He added that photographs and videos of the swearing-in were available and urged publishers to verify claims before sharing them. The chairman said his administration remains focused on security, education and road infrastructure. He cited support for indigent students seeking WAEC and JAMB forms, as well as road grading projects in Okpella and Okpekpe, and asked residents to inspect the work themselves.
