Juventus Hammer NEC Nijmegen 5–0 in Europa League Opener
Juventus began their Europa League campaign with a commanding 5–0 win over NEC Nijmegen at the Allianz Stadium. The result was a strong response after their recent 3–2 defeat to Sassuolo. Nico González opened the scoring in the ninth minute. Kerim Alajbegovic added a second before Nick Woltemade converted a penalty for a 3–0 half-time lead. Zeki Çelik scored his first Juventus goal in the 75th minute, while Randal Kolo Muani completed the rout seven minutes later. Alajbegovic also made history. At 18 years and 361 days, he became only the second teenager to score for Juventus in a major European competition. Juventus next face Celta away on October 15 before hosting Rennes on October 22.
