Ekiti Amputee Who Survived Three Accidents Plans Support Event for Disabled Children
Temitayo Israel Olowoake, a 37-year-old Mass Communication graduate from Ekiti State, says he has survived three serious accidents. One crash claimed his mother’s life and led to the amputation of his left hand, while another left him with facial injuries. He also sustained a leg injury after a bus fire on October 5, 2026. Olowoake said he has faced discrimination and financial setbacks since becoming disabled. A poultry farmer, he said limited capital affected his business and inspired him to establish the Cheerful Samaritan Charity Foundation. The foundation plans an end-of-year gathering for amputees and children with mobility disabilities aged 7 to 21 on December 19, 2026, in Sango-Ota, Ogun State. Organisers hope to host 300 children and provide meals, transport support, cash gifts and school materials.
