MOSOP President Fegalo Nsuke says the Ogoni struggle is entering a new phase following the Federal Government’s dialogue process with Ogoni communities. Speaking at the Ogoni National Rally in Gokana, Nsuke said the committee set up in January 2025 and its recommendations to President Bola Tinubu offer hope after decades of conflict, repression and environmental concerns linked to oil activities. He commended President Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for supporting an Ogoni-led dialogue. He urged the government to clarify and speed up the implementation framework, while calling on Ogoni people to embrace unity and peaceful engagement.
