Inter and AC Milan Reveal Plans for New Generali Stadium to Replace San Siro
Inter Milan and AC Milan have unveiled plans for a new shared home, to be called the Generali Stadium, as they prepare to replace the historic San Siro. The clubs say construction could begin in 2027 and be completed in 2031. The proposed arena will have steep stands, a basin-shaped design and an elevated structure intended to give fans a clear view of the pitch. The first tier is expected to include two separate sections, with each curva accommodating about 11,500 supporters. Inter and Milan hope the new venue will preserve San Siro's intense atmosphere while meeting modern football standards. The project could also position the stadium to host matches at Euro 2032, which Italy will co-host with Türkiye.
