Police Recover 28 Human Skulls, Bones From Suspected Kidnappers’ Camps in Abia

Police in Abia State say they recovered 28 human skulls and other bones during raids on suspected criminal camps in forests around Umuaku, Isuochi and Nneato in Umunneochi Local Government Area. The intelligence-led operation on September 27 involved several tactical units, including anti-kidnapping, anti-cultism and rapid-response teams. Suspects reportedly fled as operatives arrived, and the camps were dismantled. Police suspect the decomposed remains may belong to kidnap victims. No arrests have been made, while investigations continue.
