APC Membership Does Not Shield Anyone From Prosecution, Yilwatda Says
APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda says membership of the ruling party does not protect anyone accused of wrongdoing from prosecution. Speaking on television, Yilwatda said some APC members are already appearing in court over criminal cases. He maintained that the party would not interfere with the judicial process to shield any member. He added that every accused person is entitled to the presumption of innocence and other constitutional rights until a competent court reaches a verdict, regardless of political affiliation.
