Knowing and Living According to God’s Will

God’s will is what He desires for us, and Scripture calls us to know it and live by it. At its heart, God desires salvation, repentance and eternal life through Jesus Christ. He is patient with us and calls us to turn away from sin and trust Him fully. Jesus taught that doing God’s will matters more than merely calling Him Lord or claiming spiritual works. Those who truly belong to Him are those who obey God, bear the fruit of repentance and follow Christ’s example of humility, sacrifice and obedience. Living in God’s will requires us to reject selfish ambition and the sinful patterns of the world. It means carrying our crosses, persevering through hardship and keeping our eyes on the promise of eternal life. We come to understand God’s good and perfect will when our minds are renewed. As we surrender our lives to God and follow the narrow way revealed by Christ, we learn to live for Him rather than for temporary worldly desires.
