How Giringori’s Autocratic Ambition Undermines Party Democracy

I find it baffling that someone can preach democratic ideals yet reject internal party democracy. Giringori rose on free political platforms. APGA made him governor. Atiku’s choice gave him national visibility. The LP ticket extended his influence in 2022. He then demanded exclusive control over party nominations. He refused to accept zoning rules and walked away when he couldn’t get his way. This shows a deeply autocratic mindset. In Anambra, he pitted Catholics against Protestants. During the last campaign, he appealed to evangelicals and turned the race into a religious battle. Now he exploits Christian-Muslim divides across Nigeria.
