Niger Tornadoes Goalkeeper Derrick Julu Earns First Liberia Call-Up

Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper Derrick Daddy Julu has received his first call-up to Liberia’s national team for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Cape Verde. Julu was invited after an impressive spell for the NPFL club, where he kept three clean sheets in four appearances this month. Liberia will face Cape Verde away in Praia on Friday, November 13, 2026, before hosting the return match in Monrovia four days later. The Lone Star need points after opening their qualifying campaign with defeats to Rwanda and Mali.
