Prayer departments often carry the burden of interceding for the church, its members and the nation. Their work can involve regular prayer, fasting and supporting people through difficult spiritual and personal challenges. Unlike many other service units, prayer warriors are expected to remain spiritually prepared as they minister to others. This responsibility may be demanding, but it is seen as an important act of service in the Christian faith.
