Tinubu Leaves for Three-Week Europe Working Vacation Ahead of 2027 Campaigns
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja for London and other European destinations for a three-week working vacation, according to a statement from the Presidency. The trip comes shortly after the start of campaigns for the January 16, 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections. Tinubu is seeking a second term on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. His return is expected to coincide with a busy campaign period, as voters weigh the administration’s economic reforms, rising living costs, inflation and insecurity. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi are among the prominent opposition figures expected in the race.
