Amaechi Dismisses Wike as ‘Subordinate’, Warns of Political Fightback
Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has dismissed the recent verbal attacks from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, saying he does not respond to his subordinates. Amaechi said he appointed Wike as his chief of staff and insisted that Wike never employed him. He added that he would not discuss President Tinubu’s government while mourning his mother. He also warned that he and his allies would respond in kind if political opponents resort to insults during future campaigns. Amaechi said he could disclose details of a private conversation with Daniel Bwala if Bwala confronts him publicly. On criticism of Catholic bishops, Amaechi questioned whether those attacking them understood the academic and religious requirements involved in becoming a bishop.
