Isbae U Explains How Curiosity Made Me Ask Was Born
Isbae U says he chose not to remain one of many skit makers in Nigeria’s crowded comedy space. After trying music, rap and acting, he found a new direction in hosting interviews. He said the idea for Curiosity Made Me Ask was inspired by Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns. The show, launched in December 2023, has hosted guests including Pete Edochie, Kate Henshaw, Teni, Charly Boy and former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Despite the show’s success, Isbae U says he still feels nervous before interviewing older and more established guests. He added that he continues to write stories for others and hopes to explore more creative formats in the future.
