UK Teen Jailed for Life Over Fatal £20 Cannabis Debt Stabbing
A 17-year-old boy has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 14 years, for murdering 16-year-old Joshua Ingram over a £20 cannabis debt in East Sussex, United Kingdom. The unnamed teenager stabbed Joshua at Seaford railway station on September 10, 2025. The court heard that he had carried a large knife and sent threatening messages before the attack. He admitted manslaughter but was convicted of murder after trial. Joshua was training to become a bricklayer. His family described him as loved, kind and full of potential, and urged young people to reject knife carrying and report anyone known to be carrying a weapon. The judge said the small debt could never excuse the attack. Two other teenagers were also due to be sentenced for assisting an offender in connection with the case.
