Florida Woman Charged After Allegedly Torturing 8-Year-Old Stepdaughter with Hot Sauce and Salt
A 42-year-old woman in Broward County, Florida, was arrested for allegedly inflicting cruel punishments on her 8-year-old stepdaughter. Officials say she poured hot sauce and salt into the child’s existing wounds, jumped on her back, slammed her head on the floor and struck her with phone chargers and kitchen utensils. Medical examinations revealed fractured ribs, broken arms and feet, scalp hematomas, black eyes and numerous lacerations. When questioned, the suspect denied abuse, blaming the injuries on acne and a wall collision. She now faces charges of child abuse and neglect.
