Rangers Surrender Two-Goal Lead as MC Alger Win 3-2 on Aggregate
Enugu Rangers have been knocked out of the CAF Champions League after losing 3-0 to MC Alger in Algiers, despite taking a 2-0 first-leg lead into the second leg. Rangers held firm through the first half, but MC Alger scored in the 58th minute to begin their comeback. Goalkeeper Abuchi then saved a penalty in the 70th minute, briefly keeping Rangers ahead in the tie. The Algerian side levelled the aggregate score in the 85th minute before Sofiane Bayazid struck in stoppage time to seal a 3-2 aggregate victory. The result echoes Rangers' painful 1976 continental final loss to the same opponents.
