Super Falcons Defender Rofiat Imuran Completes Aston Villa Move
Super Falcons left-back Rofiat Imuran has joined Aston Villa Women on a permanent transfer from London City Lionesses. The 22-year-old becomes Villa’s ninth signing of the summer as the club prepares for the new season. Imuran previously played for Stade de Reims in France, where she made 27 league appearances and scored seven goals across two seasons. Imuran represented Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. She said she is excited to join a club with strong ambitions and hopes to achieve a lot with the team. Aston Villa said the defender will add pace, energy and quality to their defensive options.
