Am I Stingy, or Just Careful With Money?

I have realised that I am extremely careful with money. Before I spend, I calculate my daily, weekly and monthly expenses. If I discover that I wasted money, I get upset with myself. I cannot make impulse purchases. Even when I see something I like, I prefer to go home, think about it and decide whether it is truly worth buying. Some women have called me stingy, but I do not believe in spending money to impress anyone. I only spend when the purpose makes sense to me. Does anyone else handle money this way?
