EFCC Arraigns Two Men Over Alleged Sale of FCMB Access Credentials
The EFCC has arraigned Gideon Bakpa Aghogho and Oscar Ebere Chukwuebuka before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, over allegations of unlawfully supplying bank access credentials. The defendants and another suspect, identified as Scott and said to be at large, face an eight-count charge under the Cybercrimes Act. The EFCC alleged that they supplied an administrative access code capable of granting entry to FCMB’s Virtual Centre Platform. Aghogho was also accused of disclosing server IP and domain credentials linked to FCMB’s database for an alleged payment of $15,000. Aghogho pleaded not guilty, while Chukwuebuka pleaded guilty. The court adjourned the matter until August 27, 2026, and ordered the defendants remanded in a correctional centre.
