Anambra Pilgrims Office Seeks PFM Support for Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage Access
The Anambra State Christian Pilgrims Office has sought a partnership with the Pentecostal Fellowship Movement (PFM) to strengthen religious tourism and increase participation in Christian pilgrimage programmes. During a visit to Bishop Moses Ezedebego in Amawbia, the office said it was working to improve public awareness, spiritual preparation and access to pilgrimage opportunities, especially for residents at the grassroots. The proposed initiatives include a pilgrimage exchange programme to support tourism, jobs and local economic activity, as well as a lottery scheme intended to make the selection process fairer and more transparent. PFM pledged to support the effort, while urging the state government to provide incentives that would help more intending pilgrims afford trips to the Holy Land.
