Terrorist Ambush in Kaduna Kills One Army Officer, Six Soldiers

A Nigerian Army officer and six soldiers were killed when troops were ambushed by suspected terrorists in Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State on the evening of Monday, June 8, 2026. The patrol team was returning from a routine clearance operation along the Kaduna-Zaria corridor when heavily armed assailants opened fire.
