How Love, Faith and Politics Changed My Life
I fell in love in 2017 and was welcomed by my fiancée’s family. Their experience of insecurity in their hometown made me begin researching violence, banditry and ethnic tensions in Nigeria. My faith and concern for the country gradually shifted my attention away from my business and personal plans. I later shared warnings, political opinions and calls for dialogue, unity and peaceful solutions. I believe these activities brought conflict, stress and serious disruption to my life, including the breakdown of relationships and business opportunities. I have reported my concerns to the appropriate authorities and now want to focus on my faith, family and music ministry. I no longer want to promote ethnic hostility or political division, and I believe Nigerians should treat one another with compassion and seek peace.
