Two Police Officers Killed, Three Injured in Gunmen’s Attack on Abia Station

Gunmen attacked the Uratta Divisional Headquarters in Aba, Abia State, in the early hours of Saturday, October 17, killing two senior police officers and injuring three inspectors. Police said the attackers used explosives, setting fire to part of the station and destroying a divisional patrol van. The attack reportedly lasted close to an hour. The Abia Police Command said no firearms or ammunition were taken. The Commissioner of Police led tactical teams to the area, while security operations have been intensified to identify and arrest those responsible.
