Science vs Spirit: Why Man’s Quest for Immortality Remains Unfulfilled
Isaiah 55:8 reminds us that God’s ways differ from ours. Science and technology have advanced by leaps and bounds. Neural implants now let paralyzed patients speak or move prosthetic limbs with their thoughts. AI outperforms doctors in diagnosing some diseases, and surgical enhancements for the wealthy promise human upgrades. Yet these innovations extend life, not conquer death. True immortality belongs to the heavenly realm, not human invention. John 3:12 warns that if we struggle to believe in earthly truths, we cannot grasp heavenly ones. When Jesus raised Lazarus after three days, He applied a divine law to our world and offered a glimpse of resurrection life. As Psalm 139:6 declares, such knowledge is too wonderful for us. Our longest lives here remain limited by sin and the fallen state of creation. The real path to eternal life is found not in science alone, but in the divine grace that transforms death into everlasting life.
