Woman Alleges Repeated Sexual Assault After Accepting Temporary Accommodation in Lagos

A young woman has alleged that a man repeatedly sexually assaulted her after offering her temporary accommodation when she moved to Lagos for a cleaning job. She said she had travelled from another state and had nowhere to stay. According to her account, the man ignored her pleas for him to stop and allegedly assaulted her several times. The woman also alleged that when she tried to leave, the man withheld her belongings. A video circulating online shows an older woman confronting the accused and demanding the return of the woman’s boxes. The allegation has not been proven in court, and no conviction has been reported.
