Ikorodu City Stun Enugu Rangers 2-0 as Adeoye and Atata Impress
Ikorodu City recorded their first NPFL victory over defending champions Enugu Rangers, winning 2-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan. Aderemi Adeoye gave the Lagos side an early lead with a well-struck free kick in the eighth minute. Goalkeeper Michael Atata made key saves to preserve the advantage, while Ikechukwu Junior sealed the result with a 63rd-minute goal. Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi watched from the stands as Ikorodu City ended their winless run against Rangers. The performance will also strengthen the case for Adeoye and Atata ahead of the Super Eagles' upcoming friendly against Russia.
