Was I Wrong to Leave My Friend and Her Boyfriend at Tarkwa Bay?

I went to a Tarkwa Bay rave with my friend, Teni, and her boyfriend, Femi, even though he and I had unresolved issues. After Femi confronted me over the relationship advice Teni often asked me for, we argued and I decided I had had enough of the night. I left the beach with another group after telling Teni I was going. However, I forgot that she had earlier put Femi’s phone and keys in my bag for safekeeping. They could not reach me for hours and had to find another way back before paying a locksmith to access Femi’s home. I apologised, returned the items and covered their transport costs. Still, Teni feels I abandoned them and put my dislike for Femi above our friendship. I feel bad about forgetting the phone and keys, but I do not think I should have been forced to stay somewhere I was uncomfortable. Was I wrong for leaving, or was this an honest mistake that has been blown out of proportion?
